At Central Baptist Church, Jesus Christ and the Gospel are at the center of everything we do. We believe that the hope found in Christ changes lives, and we are passionate about sharing that hope with our community and beyond.

Whether you are exploring faith, searching for a church home, or looking for a place to grow spiritually, we are glad you are here. We are more than a congregation. We are a church family committed to loving God, loving people, and walking alongside one another through every season of life.

Our desire is not only to see people come to know Christ as Savior, but also to help them grow as disciples with a deep and lasting relationship with Him. Through worship, biblical teaching, small groups, ministry opportunities, and authentic relationships, we seek to encourage every person to grow in faith and live out the Gospel daily.

Our History

Central Baptist Church has been a beacon of faith in the Phenix City community for more than a century. What began as a small gathering of dedicated believers in 1922 has grown into a vibrant church family committed to sharing the love of Christ and serving others.

Through the decades, God has faithfully guided Central Baptist Church through seasons of growth, ministry expansion, missions involvement, and community outreach. From the construction of our first sanctuary to the dedication of our current campus and Family Life Center, each generation has played a role in continuing our mission of sharing the Gospel and serving our community.

Today, we continue to pursue the mission that has guided us for more than 100 years: Love God. Love People.
