Through worship, biblical teaching, small groups, ministry opportunities, and authentic relationships, we seek to encourage every person to grow in faith and live out the Gospel daily.

We also believe that investing in the next generation matters. From children to students, we are committed to helping young people build a strong foundation of faith and discover God’s purpose for their lives.

Our Beliefs

At Central Baptist Church, our beliefs are rooted in God’s Word and centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, salvation is found through faith in Him alone, and that every person is created in God’s image and deeply loved by Him. Our beliefs guide everything we do as a church and shape our commitment to worship, discipleship, ministry, missions, and serving others in His name.

Our leadership team seeks to serve Christ and the congregation through prayer, biblical teaching, servant leadership, accountability, and faithful stewardship. We are committed to leading with humility, integrity, and a dependence upon God’s Word.

Central Baptist Church has been a beacon of faith in the Phenix City community for more than a century. What began as a small gathering of dedicated believers in 1922 has grown into a vibrant church family committed to sharing the love of Christ and serving others.

Through the decades, God has faithfully guided Central Baptist Church through seasons of growth, ministry expansion, missions involvement, and community outreach. From the construction of our first sanctuary to the dedication of our current campus and Family Life Center, each generation has played a role in continuing our mission of sharing the Gospel and serving our community.

Today, we continue to pursue the mission that has guided us for more than 100 years: Love God. Love People.
